  • Combine the incline of mountains with sand and you have the most challenging cardio of your life. (so bring a board with you so you can ride back down) 📍Point is: step out of your comfort zone. Challenge yourself to try new things and embrace failure. I was always told growing up, it's better to fail going 110% than kinda feel going half 🍑. So with no boarding experience of any kind ever, I still hiked up those sand dune mountains and hopped on that board as if I knew what I was doing and sure enough I fell the first four or five times but that sixth time, I got back up and figured it out and what a great feeling that was. When you show no fear to failure, it's funny how quickly it will run away. Be confident, even if there is no reason why, be confident. You will prevail.

  • TIME...YOU HAVE ENOUGH....................... 24 hours in a day. 6 hours sleep. 9 hours of work. 2 hours commuting. SEVEN HOURS LEFT. 7 hours every single day free to be yours, however you want it. If you're complaining or constantly wishing for things you don't currently have, audit your management of those 7 hours. How do you spend those seven hours? So you go to the gym for 2 hours. Awesome. Now that's 5 hours left to eat, spend time with family, friends, and whatever else you want. If you completely content, respect. But if you're not, you're complaining or wishing... stop and start doing. Happiness comes from solving problems and progressing. Doing what you love doesn't mean you're problem free, it simply means you have good problems to solve. Stagnation and boredom are the ultimate life drainers. Even just two hours a day is 14 hours a week and 56 hours a month and 672 hours a year. 672 hours is 28 DAYS added towards your dreams. Are you gonna put in the work or keep dreaming? It's always up to you. Just a litte perspective on the thoughts that run through my head when my mind says be lazy but my soul screams you want more.

  • TREAT YOURSELF #ExperiencesOverThings is my @hunter.wanderer motto for a million reasons. Last week was extremely stressful but it is amazing how rejuvenated I feel after taking the weekend for a solo adventure into the South Dakota wild. Traveling alone may seem daunting but I highly recommend everyone try it at least once. Instead of endulging in that gallon of guilty chocolatelty pleasure and later regret, invest in an experience that will leave you with a lasting positive energy. 👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽 This was my first true solo trip and it definitely won't be my last. There are so many perks. You only have to satisfy yourself. Every decision, good or bad, is the right one because nobody is there to question you otherwise. You learn about yourself, how you handle situations on your own. You are forced to take ownership over all outcomes. You can stay however long or short you want anywhere, you are the captain and the passenger. This sounds very selfish well because it is. But in a world where we are constantly trying to please others, it is imperative to take the time for yourself too. You only get this one life. Be selfish, treat yourself.

  • HUMP DAY PUMP DAY💪🏽 How to destroy your arms in just 5 sets? Rep progressions. Grab DBs. Do 1 curl + 1 hammer curl. 2 curls + 2 hammer curls. 3 curls + 3 hammer curls... up to 5. Immediately lay back on a bench and repeat the same progression with DB skull crushers behind the head + DB skull crushers to the chest w/ elbows out. Repeat 4x. Minimal rest i.e. walk to the water fountain take a sip walk back and go. The fifth finisher set is 30 reps cable triceps overhead extensions + 30 reps cable curl (pictured above). Make sure to keep the core tight and engaged, flexing the belly button back into the spine, glutes engaged to ensure proper spine alignment, and shoulders back/ not rounded forward hiding the chest. Enjoy!!!!

Feels so good to be back (and not insanely sore). Since I'm working the 8-6 life now, after dinner I will be incorporating different cardio circuits. Yesterday's was 200 step hill climb and a one mile run down the other side, repeated 3 times. Gets the heart rate up and absolutely kills the legs while your heart rate slightly comes back down climbing straight up. This evening I have a team dinner downtown so depending when I get back from that I'll either do some Woodway Curve treadmill sprints (tryna hit 18mph) or go for a trail run that's walking distance from my house. There's always time, get er done!

  • HAPPY FATHER's DAΥ 👨‍👦‍👦 Hunter go hike was these munchkins favorite thing to say about me and today we finally hit the trails together! Carrying two mini humans gets tiring fast but it was a great way to take an active rest day and spend time with the fam enjoying Colorados best. Back to the grind tomorrow and honestly so excited for it, but had to soak in as much as of the family time I could first which meant lots of good food and desserts. To get back on track, I'll be switching back on to the #UnicornDiet outlined in my #ReynoldsAesthetics eBook, the perfect plan for a routine working lifestyle! (these are my cousin's twins, NOT my children... Maury verified I am NOT the father)

  • EVERYTHING IS NEGOTIABLE Well the idea of me and at home workouts broke up this morning when I joined a brand new 24 hour fitness for the summer. After finding out my work assignments, my commute has been cut by 2/3rds. This gym is on the way and has all the necessary amenities to go straight to work so the 5am grind is alive again starting tomorrow. Yesterday when I first inquired about membership, the sales lady told me it'd be $145 for two months.. I walked away from that deal and walked back in today successfully negotiating the same two months for $90. Considering I started off with a free 3-day trail, I'll have 50 days at this gym making it less than $2/workout... and if I do any 2-a-days that'll be less than $1/workout. That's what I like to see. Too pumped to finally be settled into a gym and get back in a routine. Moral of the story, don't settle. Everything is negotiable. Save that money for experiences (and food)!!!
