Not much to say as this amazing weekend comes to an end.  Spent a ton of time outside among the woods and it really is incredible what is does for ya. Pic coming at ya from my OG self <a href=/user/hunter.wanderer>@hunter.wanderer.</a> Pretty crazy spring break is in two weeks and Ill be backpacking 6 national parks in 7 days, all of which will be documented on that account. Ill be on the road or in flight the entire week so ya got that right, no gym/no workouts for a week. Will I go crazy? Of course not. Time away from what ya love is always good to remind yourself of its true value and glory. Let the countdown begin🙌🏼

  • FREEEEEEEDOM 🇺🇸
Been MIA a couple days as the weather has been absolutely beautiful and I have a hell week of school next week so I took the time to disconnect, get back out in nature, and really just allow myself to go with whatever the flow was. The flow consisted of a lot of sleep... just woke up from my second nap of the day. Sometimes you just have to truly listen to your body and take some quality time off. Time off from the extracurriculars that is... still got all my workouts in first thing in the morning and trained my clients before becoming one with the couch and pillows. 😴 As I slept, this quote continued to run through my thoughts so I thought Id share. Just be you. Let go of everything holding you back from being you, including yourself. Free yourself, to be yourself. ⚛️

  • EXPECTATIONS...
I have always set super high expectations for myself. I have always believed setting high expectations was the best way to push myself to realize my full potential. Over the years, I have come to realize that not all expectations are the same. While setting super high expectations for my self and my own output has been greatly beneficial, when it comes to expecting things from others it is always best to have no expectations at all. This goes hand in hand with giving without the need of anything in return.  A character built around the idea of always being the better person, always taking the high road, and always giving it your 110% is the best we can do. There are so many things we cannot control and these things we must let be. However, what we can control, we must always give our best while acting in accordance with our core values.  Expect everything from yourself and the possibilities are endless. Hamstrings and back absolutely shot from yesterday's workout so naturally today I did an insane circuit for leg day in a under 45 minutes. 👊🏽3 trisets of death were:
A) Squat 4x12 + Leg Press 4x20 + Barbell Walking Lunge 4x10 per leg
B) Leg Extensions 4x30 + Lying Leg Curls 4x20 + Hanging Knee Raises 4x20
C) Back Hyperextensions Glute focus 4x15 + Sissy Squat 4x20 + GHD 4x8-10
Simple as that, no rest between exercises. Minimal rest between rounds. Ample rest the remainder of the day as I can't walk and am already back in bed😂🙌🏼

  • CHALLENGE YOURSELF😤
Some days you just wake up with a lot more motivation than others. Today was definitely one of those days. I was in the zone and nothing was going to stop me. Typically, I never train for strength and stick with hypertrophy because I simply enjoy it more. That combined with the countless hip and spine issues I have, I tend to stay away from heavier deadlifts. Today I was feelin it so I decided to challenge myself cardiovascularly by hitting 3x10 deadlifts at 315lbs after 5 heavier sets of barbell rows. Talk about a gutcheck, I was nearly seeing stars by the end of it. Needless to say, it was a fantastic workout and the best way to start the day. 💥If you're hands aren't shaking and you can take a steady picture, you didn't go hard enough.  <a  href=/tag/HAPPYVDAY>#HAPPYVDAY</a>

Focus on the controllable. Effort is always under your control. You determine how much and which direction you exude your effort. Effort is also not endless. That is why I start each day with my workout when my energy and effort is at it's highest capabilities. Know yourself and maximize your effort choices efficiently and effectively.

  • BALANCE ☯️
Everyone has their own motivations and reasons. Few will understand your exact drivers and many will question you. This can make it extremely difficult as you strive to be different/unique while balancing the pressures to be normal/ fit in. I find the most important aspect to finding balance is my own mental attitude. No one can make decisions and take action for you, except you. When you back your decision making and actions with your full mental support, finding your own individual unique balance becomes much easier.
